Sophrology
Sophrology is a psycho-corporeal method, that is to say that it uses the body, relaxation and body awareness to relieve the mind. A therapeutic technique, designed by the neuropsychiatrist Alfonso Caycedo, it finds its source in hypnosis, progressive relaxation but also yoga and Zen meditation, all of this gently aiming at the harmonization of consciousness.
An exclusively verbal and non-tactile method, sophrology uses a set of techniques that act on both the body and the mind to find a state of well-being, activate one's full potential, acquire better self-knowledge and face everyday challenges with serenity.
More precisely, it is a method that combines:

Controlled breathing
To regulate your heart rate and nervous system.

Gentle movements
In harmony with breathing, they are suitable for everyone whatever your age and physical condition.

Deep relaxation
To release physical and mental tensions.

Visualizations
To access pleasant feelings and put yourself in a position to achieve your goals.
It adapts to all types of audience:
Children
Teenagers
Students
Adults
Seniors
Athletes

Taming your emotions

Prepare for a sports event or exam

My areas of expertise are:
Support for people going through cancer, particularly breast cancer
Mental disorders such as burnout, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress
Here's how a session goes:
- First 15 minutes (OR 1 hour if first session) : Discussion about the problems you have encountered and your progress in your therapeutic journey
- 20 minutes of breathing and visualization exercises
- 20 minutes of deep relaxation
- 5 minutes of discussion about your feelings during the session
Please note: in sophrology, you are the actors in your therapeutic approach; the exercises learned in sessions will have a better chance of success if you apply them on a daily basis.
During your first 4 to 5 sessions, we will address your urgent and/or emotional issues. It is strongly recommended to continue your therapy to have all the tools necessary to pursue your well-being in the long term.
